Maxtang MTN

Maxtang MTN-ALN50 mini PC features a 12th-generation Intel Processor N100 or Core-i3 N305 Alder Lake-N processor and has a familiar design since it looks very much like an Intel NUC.

The mini PC support up to 32GB DDR4 memory and SATA storage, and offers three video outputs via HDMI and USB-C DisplayPort, two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports, support for M.2 wireless modules, and five USB 3.2/2.0 ports.

Maxtang MTN-ALN50 specifications:

Maxtang lists Windows 10/11 64-bit and Linux 64-bit (e..g Ubuntu) operating systems for the NUC-inspired Alder Lake-N mini PC and offers VESA mounting options.

It looks like a nice mini PC with the main downside I see being the lack of NVMe storage. It’s also not 100% clear how the FPC SATA storage works, but I’d assume it must be relying on a custom flat cable like we previously used with the Mekotronics R58 mini PC, except there should be enough space inside the Maxtang mini PC to mount a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD drive internally.

Maxtang usually sells to businesses and the MTN-ALN50 mini computer mainly targets kiosks, point of sale (PoS) systems, digital signage, and other IoT applications so SATA storage may be fast enough for those use cases. We don’t have price information at this time, but some of Maxtang’s mini PCs usually end up on Amazon and/or their own Aliexpress store with a wider selection of models.
