Public Notices: Bus lane alterations on St Clements

Public notices are adverts placed by councils and other local authorities to inform people of developments in their areas.

They can cover a wide variety of topics that may impact your life.

They can include planning applications and appeals, road closures or proposals by pubs or nightclubs hoping to change their opening hours or make other variations.

The purpose of a public notice is to make sure anybody - either an individual or a group - with an interest has an opportunity to find out about and comment on the proposal before a decision is made on whether to allow it to go ahead.

Marston Co-op: The Mid-Counties Co-operative Limited has made an application to Oxford City Council to vary a premises licence for Midcounties Co-operative Limited, 15 Old Marston Road, Marston, Oxford.

The application is to vary the hours for the sale of alcohol for consumption off the premises to Monday to Saturday 07:00-23:00 and Sunday 07:00-22:30, to vary the layout of the premises and to replace existing conditions with new conditions.

Cowley Road bar: Applicants Fitim Pira and Klodjan Kebej of Spires Bar & Co at 282 Cowley Road, Oxford, have applied to remove the condition of their licence that only people ordering or are waiting to order food can purchase alcohol.

Also to extend opening hours from midnight to 1am every day.

HGV licence Old Marston: R V Arts Ltd of 175 Kennington Road, Kennington, Oxford, is applying to change an existing licence to add an operating centre to keep 10 goods vehicles and 10 trailers at Hill Farm, Mill Lane, Old Marston, Oxford.

Any representations should be made in writing to the Traffic Commissioner at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds, LS9 6NF, within 21 days of this notice. Representors must at the same time send a copy of their representations to the applicant at the address given at the top of this notice.

Gasworks Pipe Bridge: Footpaths 320/4/30 to 320/4/40 will be closed from August 23 because of work to refurbish Isis Gasworks footbridge.

This is anticipated to be completed on April 23, 2024.

Part of footpath number/s 320/4/30 to 320/4/40 will be temporarily closed on the south side of the river.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, for works and for pedestrian access to property which is only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route will be signed locally.

Cowley Road pizza takeaway: Tops Pizza at 148 Cowley Road, Oxford, is applying for a premises licence for the following activities.

To provide late-night refreshments Monday - Thursday 23:00 hours until 00:00 hours.

On Friday - Saturday 23:00 hours until 01:00 hours.

On Sunday 23:00 hours until 00:00 hours (delivery only after 23:00).

The opening hours of the premises will be Monday - Thursday 10:00 hours until 00:00 hours, Friday - Saturday 10:00 hours until 01:00 hours, Sunday 10:00 hours until 00:00 hours (delivery only after 23:00).

St Clements road closures: Bus lane alteration works are taking place on St Clements from July 31 which are anticipated to be completed 11 August 2023. Works will operate between 21:00 and 05:00hrs.

Marston Road will be closed and there is no waiting between St Clements and Cherwell Street. The alternative route for traffic is via Marston Road, Headley Way, Headington Road and vice versa.

Morrell Avenue will also be closed and there is no waiting between St Clements and Glebe Street. The alternative route for traffic is via Morrell Avenue, Warneford Lane, Gipsy Lane, Headington Road and vice versa.
